Changing photo shape in Storyline 360 makes it blurry

In order to "transform" the rectangle into a circle shape, Storyline has to manipulate the picture again, resulting in an additional "layer" of compression.

There are a few solutions that work for me in most cases, yet all of them come with an accompanying caveat.

1) Use a higher DPI image source (there will still be compression but the resulting image will be crisper) 

Caveat : Hard to source

2) Create the circle shaped objects with an external tool (such as Photoshop or GIMP), then transfer that to Storyline

Caveat : Time consuming

3) Increase the Image Quality pct from the default 80% to 100% in your Publish Settings. You still won't avoid the re-compress, but the result will still be better than before.

Caveat : Larger Filesizes
