Changing "Selected" state of checkbox?
You can insert a red X shape directly into the Selected state of a checkbox.
With that solution, there's no need for a triggering a special state. That's what I did in the attached file. I also changed the default checkmark color to gray, so it's not visible behind the red X.
- Note: An object inserted while editing a state has its own accessibility setting. In the attached file, I set the red X so it's not visible to accessibility tools.
You could also create custom checkboxes to get the desired look and size.
Of course, a red X reveals that an answer is wrong before the question is submitted...
