Changing text in object does not change it in all states
This problem still persists till now and it is tedious to go back into each state and copy and paste the text each time the issue comes up. Any updates or plans on how to fix this?

I'm sorry to hear that you ran into this behavior. I did a quick test on my end by adding a rectangular shape and then adding multiple states to it, and I can confirm that text was carried over from the Normal state to the other states.
I'd like to take a look at your project file to see if something else in the slide or object is preventing the text from being carried over to the other states. Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!
