Changing the default font size

Apparently, this doesn't apply to tables.  Every time I insert a table the default font size is 18.5 (I have a custom slide size).  I have to change it to 14px every time - super annoying.

Thank you for reaching out! Your post reminded me of this similar discussion that covers how Storyline calculates font size when the slide size changes.

A few ideas in the meantime!

• You could quickly increase the table font size with the keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+>
• If you need to create courses with a custom design, I recommend saving the Storyline project as a template: Using Custom Templates
• Use slide masters to set the default themes, colors, fonts, text, and objects for slides throughout the course: Using Slide Masters

Hello, I am on SL 360 and I don't see that option to change my font default size. I did right click on the text box not the text itself. Am I missing something? Thanks!

I have the exact same problem as Joselina. I've tried this trick in both the Slide Master view and the regular view, with the same results. 

Somewhat embarrassing, but I think I've figured out the issue. I was trying to set a text box as default after I'd set the font size I wanted, but before I'd added any text. Once I'd added text, the option appeared, which makes some sense. I see from Joselina's screenshot that they were doing the same thing.

This doesn't work on text boxes imported in from PowerPoint, I've just discovered. Is this something that can be fixed? :)

Thank you for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue. When importing Powerpoint slides into Storyline 360, most features are supported, but some are not. Here are some tips to help you troubleshoot!

If you are working from a template in PowerPoint, and import the slides to Storyline, it will recognize the text box as a shape and does not give you the option to Set as Default Text Box.

I found that if you choose insert > text box on a blank slide in PowerPoint, then it should behave the same way when imported to Storyline. You can also insert a new text box in Storyline, copy and paste the content into your new text box, and then Set as Default Text Box.
