Check / Tick marks in the menu
These seem to have appeared in a recent update? I certainly don't remember them being there before.
Can they be turned off?

Hi,
One of our clients recently asked us to hide the ticks until the page was completed. I had to tell them it wasn't possible.
Please add this ability.
A tick universally indicates successful completion of a task.
The tick appears in the menu as soon as the slide is opened before the task is complete.
If a learner is undertaking a quiz, skips to course content via the menu (allowed in my course design), and then wants to return to where they were up to in the quiz, they return to the next question that is not ticked in the menu.
When they skip questions because of this misleading UI they can't complete the quiz and report a bug.
Five years later and this is still causing big problems.
