Client template has brand in Text box

We received a template from the client and when I try to insert a text box on a slide the company logo appears in the box. I can type over the logo, but I cannot seem to get rid of it. Does anyone know where this setting would be that I can change?

    Is it the default text box? Can you import a blank box from another project, and set it as the default?

    Thank you! This has happened to me a couple times and I can't find where the glitch is, But I am happy to see there is a workaround.
