Closed Captions no longer generated automatically?
Hi DavidTait and RonPrice,
I have some great news to share! We just released another update for Storyline 360. In Build 3.110.36211.0, we’ve included important fixes and new features. One of the fixes we’ve included is:
- Captions weren’t generated for text-to-speech narration created with AI Assistant.
This resolves the issue where closed captions weren’t being created automatically for AI-generated narration, even when the option was selected.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You’ll find our step-by-step instructions here.
Please let me know if you need additional help.

Hi ryanlesperance,
Thanks for following up and letting us know this is happening again. I know you ran into this same issue earlier this year, so I’m sorry to hear it’s resurfaced while you’re editing your audio.
Since you were already working on the latest version available when you reported this, we’d like to take a closer look at what’s happening in your project. Would you be willing to share a copy of your Storyline file with us privately in a support case? That will help our Support team test the caption behavior and investigate whether you’re running into the same issue as before or something different.
