Continue Button disappearing after access
- 2 years ago
Hi AndrewGlennie-3 and TeeLe!
Thanks for reaching out! Glad to see Karl has been helping you!
I can confirm the behavior you described is expected. In Rise 360, Continue buttons do disappear once clicked by a learner to allow for free navigation of the course. However, we are tracking a feature request for the option to keep the Continue button visible once clicked. I'll share your feedback with our product team, letting them know this enhancement would benefit you!
We'll be sure to provide updates if it makes it onto our Feature Roadmap.
Hi, is there any update about this ? I don't care much for the "continue" buttons that disappear in the training after visiting previous sections, but I also use the button to mark the module as completed via an xAPI call in Learndash / TinCanny LRS. Clicking on the button at the end of the course closes the window and, on the Learndash side, advances the learner to the next module.
Here's the issue: if the learner returns to the module, the "end" button is no longer available. I've tried to create a button with the "Code" block using html and javascript, but so far I haven't managed to get a good result. I imagine it's not easy to play around with button behavior, but offering the option of keeping the button active or not after the learner's visit would be really appreciated!

Hello IPSC,
Thanks for explaining your setup! It sounds like a thoughtful integration.
You’re right: Rise doesn’t currently offer a way to keep “Continue” buttons active after a revisit. Once a learner completes that section, those buttons usually disappear or lose their function.
Custom code is a clever workaround, but Rise has limited support for JavaScript, so results can be hit or miss. If you haven’t already, you might try using a standard button block that links to a redirect or script URL instead of using the Code block.
Keeping buttons visible on revisit would be a great feature. I’ll pass this along to the team.
