Course Codes and Course Descriptions in Rise360

Rise seems to lack the feature to include a course code and course description in the project that would be part of the published ZIP file uploaded to the LMS. Does it actually exist, or am I just...

Update, although this isn't an ideal workaround. Background: When we uploaded a scorm package to our LMS (Cornerstone), the metadata.xml file was automatically populating a Description field in the LMS with the word, "Description" and it couldn't be deleted. For this project, we don't want anything in that field. The workaround we decided on is:

  1. Edit a metadata.xml file removing the two instances of "Description" that appeared, so instead of <langstring>Description</langstring>, it's just 

    <langstring></langstring>. 

  2. Save the file.
  3. Publish a course to LMS.
  4. Copy that new metadata.xml file to the zip file (just drag and drop it on the file) and replace the existing one.


Rise really needs to be updated to allow designers to add a description or turn it off in the course before it gets published. These steps have to be repeated for every upload. Right now I'm managing 7 courses and have to do this every time they're revised.
