Creating a Quiz in Rise
Hi, btw am a first using Rise and has been some years since I used storyline which I really liked.
I'm wondering is there a way though to extract data to measure both completion rate and results after a user has attempted a quiz.
I am in the throes of building an online course with a very tight deadline, so a quick response to help me with this would be great! For each lesson the learner will need to answer the quiz questions. I will then need to report back on the number of users who completed it and the results.
I also want to know is there alternative to the types/formats of quizzes in rise- i.e. is their a multiple choice type quiz available etc. (I'm interested in different formats as well - a bit like what's available in storyline)
I'd really appreciate some guidance with this. Btw I am first time Rise user.
Cheers,
Odette

Dear Chystal, I added knowledge checks to my lessons as blocks after the content. My stakeholders are happy with the design, but I encountered some issues with the quizzes. I want to have the learners trying more than once, and I do not see any settings where I can change that. In my course, I cannot have a Quiz at the end of the other lessons. It works better with knowledge checks embedded in content. So, I am not using the Quiz standalone, where I see the Settings and how to change them. I need advice on how to improve the quizzes in the lessons. Please let me know.
Hi Claudia! I'd like to explain the difference between knowledge check blocks and quiz lessons in Rise 360:
- Knowledge check blocks are ungraded, so they are better used for informal interactivity in your lessons.
- Quiz lessons are graded, and Rise 360 sends this quiz data to your LMS. You can track one quiz score in Rise 360, so you'll want to keep that in mind as you plan your projects.

Thanks for your quick reply! Is there any way to customize the color to have two colors such as red and green or not? or to stop the Try again?
Hi Claudia!
You can customize the knowledge check feedback text color to red and green, as shown below. There isn't a way to remove the "try again" option on a knowledge check block.

Hi Claudia,
How can I change the order of the questions in de the Quiz lessons? It looks like I cannot change question nr. 4 tot nr 1 while I'm building. The order should be chosen in advance?
Hope to hear from you? Kind regards, Monique

Hi Monique! You can click then drag the questions to rearrange. Please see the example below:

Hi,
I'm very new to Rise and trying to find this quiz editor section, but all I see is the block menu with knowledge check blocks and other block sections. I want to be able to measure these responses, and I want my learners to see how they did on these assessments. Is there a visual of where the quiz section is because the written guidance is not helping me, and I'm looking everywhere, but I don't see a quiz section.

Also, if this feature is in Storyline and I need to create the quiz there first, I'm on a MAC, and I don't have the time to VDI into Windows to create these because my grad class is on a tight schedule and the trial for the VDI is too short for me to use. If this is the case then my learners will have deal with an ungraded assessment in Rise which I think will be ok because this is a beta test course.
Hi Heather,
You'll need to create a new lesson and select Quiz when adding it as content (as shown in a sample screen recording below):
You should then be able to add the questions for your course.
After finishing the course, you can then export the course as LMS to share with your learners.

Hi Christopher,
Thank you so much for this visual! I was able to follow along and it all worked out great!
