Creating pre assessments to decide what a learner needs to cover

I've found a way of creating a pre assessment that allows learners to bypass the learning if passed. If they fail it, they'll have to go through the whole learning though.
You can do this in Storyline by inserting a results slide. once you've selected the type of results page (graded etc) a new pop up will show and in the top left, there's a drop down which shows final assessment, but you can select a pre-assessment.
I haven't tested it yet though, but will be soon, so will see how it goes.

As per the article, you can indicate that a quiz is a Final Assessment, a Pre-Check, or a Knowledge Check. This image is a screenshot of the text explaining how those are (or aren't) reported to the LMS.
