Custom Tab: I want a tab (other than resources) where I can attach a file
I'd like to make an additional resources tab, rename it transcript and add my transcript file there. Is there a way I can do this?
The Triggers feature doesn't have this as an action or option.

There isn't a way to trigger a player tab. You can make custom tabs as a part of your player, but you won't be able to set them up similar to the resources tab - but you'd set them up to show a slide or lightbox as described here.

There isn't a way to trigger a Player Tab. Ashley shared a workaround above in case you're interested in creating this using a lightbox! Let us know how it goes!
Well it ended up that they had so many resources, I did the resources as a lightbox, and for my video transcripts, I went into the labels and changed Resources to say Video transcripts and my PDFs are listed there. So I have made it work :)
