Custom video controls to play two videos simultaneously
I'm trying to create an interface that plays two videos simultaneously: the main video, which is a video class where the teacher presents a sequence of slides, and a second smaller video superimposed on the lower right hand corner of the first one, where a sign language interpreter repeats the teacher's content in that language.
Why use two videos and not just one? Because the idea would be to include a button that would allow the student to show or hide the video of the sign language interpreter. Inserting the two videos on the same Storyline slide is no problem, but I need to create custom video controls so that if the student wants to pause the content, the two videos pause together and also resume together.
I didn't find a progress bar template that can be attributed to a video, has anyone done something similar?
P.S. I'm using Storyline 3.

Rather than creating custom controls, have you considered using the built-in slide controls, e.g. seekbar?

Yes, I would like to use the built-in seek bar for the main video, but it needs to control the second video as well, in case the student pauses, plays, fast forwards or rewinds the video, because we can't lose synchrony between the videos...

I meant the seekbar controls you can add to the bottom of a SLIDE, not the controls you can add below an individual VIDEO.

Thanks Michael for the tip. I've enabled the seekbar here and it actually controls both videos as long as they're both on the main timeline.
The problem now is how to toggle on/off the visibility of the second video that overlaps the main video. Storyline does not identify video files as an object that can have states. If I move the second video to a layer, then I lose the sync between it and the main video. Is there any property or variable that can be used in this on/off scenario?

True, videos don't have states. You could try adding .1 sec. motionpath animations to the secondary video to "slide it in/out" of the visible slide area based on the button that toggles visibility.

Michael, you are the man! Thanks! It worked flawlessly with button-triggered motionpaths. Too bad it's not possible to add a custom button for this purpose next to the seekbar, along with the captions button. It would look perfect in the layout.
