All layers can be found in the feedback master, sometimes on a master layout, and other times on an individual layout. Some elements that appear on feedback layers are automatically added when the layer is used.
I've had the best luck customizing them by going to all three locations, dragging everything off the stage, and creating what I want from scratch. Be sure to create your element in the same location it originally appeared.
