Customize text contrast of Cover Photo
Hi,
Could you help me with the following.
In the feature 'Cover Photo' the text contrast is ranged between 10% en 90%. However, when selecting 10%, there is still a considerable degree of (dark) contrast in my Cover Photo. Is there a way to set 0% contrast?
Thank you!
Alexander
Hi there, Cathy! Good news -- this setting exists in the cover page options under the Theme menu. Select Edit > Text contrast > and change the contrast to 0%.

Why no 0% contrast?

Is there any way around the 10% contrast yet. Surely this can't be that difficult for the developers to implement? We need a 0% option, please.
Thanks for checking in, folks. We haven't made any changes to the contrast levels in Rise 360 cover photos. We'll let you know if that changes!

We need this change to be compliant with our branding guidelines. Please fix.

Hi You can modify the main.bundle.js file once you have published your project. Use notepad to open the .js file and do a find for overview__side. Keep clicking find next until you come to the section as shown in the attached image. Change the value which I have circled to a very high number (its default is 100) I have changed mine to 10000. Caution ensure you don't delete or add another text, characters, comas, quotation marks, etc. Next save the .js file. The cover image should be bright now.
cheers Gerry

Gerry, thank you for the .js file walkthrough. We work as a team of development staff, and occasionally someone besides me will do changes on a file I create. This modification goes away as soon as it it republished. I appreciate it though, and will probably use this solution in the future.
As this is a VERY easy change to the main.bundle file, wouldn't it be, in turn, a VERY easy fix for the articulate development team? Hi, everyone! I'm excited to let you know that you can now set the text contrast on cover photos to 0%. Let us know if you have any questions about this enhancement!

Alyssa... sorry it took me 19 days to realize this change had occurred. But THANK YOU to the dev team for (finally) giving us this option! I've been very critical in a few posts here lately, but I'm man enough to also give credit where credit is due. So please pass along my (and everyone else's) BIG thanks!

Branding matters! And if a company wants a cover image darker, they can upload a darker image. It doesn't make sense for Rise to monkey with contrast and thus the display/colors of an uploaded image. Here's your own "bright" blue.
