Deleted animations still playing

I am building a Storyline course via an imported PPT. I have deleted animations off of some slides and they are still playing-even though I'm showing no animations. There is not a transition o...
IS it just that the items are still spread out on the timeline?
What do you mean by "items that are spread on the timeline?"
Specifically, I have removed animations from slides 1.5/1.11/1.12 and they still show in preview mode.
