Discussion boards in Rise

Hi there  I was wondering is there a way to have a group discussion board in rise where students can comment and post? Thanks! Suzie

Hi Suzie! Although there isn't a native discussion board tool in Rise, you can easily set one up using a link to another site. I used a free tool called Padlet in this sample Rise course. Once you've created the Padlet discussion board, copy the link address. Then in Rise, click Add Content then click URL/Embed. Paste the Padlet link there, and your discussion board is ready to go. I also invite other members of the community to chime in and share the discussion board tools they recommend!

Hey Hey, I have just come across this - can I ask how you did this on Padlet? Creating a discussion is fantastic!

    Hi Dan,

    Here's how you can add a Padlet in your course:

    1. Create a padlet for your discussion board.
    2. Copy the unique link to your padlet.
    3. In Rise, add a Multimedia > Embed block
    4. Click on Edit > Change in your embed block.
    5. Paste the URL or Iframe code for your padlet.
