Does anyone else find Rise is slow these days?
Hi Everyone!
I understand you are facing setbacks and lag, when authoring in Rise 360!
Thank you for highlighting the issue, and sharing your feedback in this discussion. I've notified our Rise 360 development team, who is currently looking into possible causes of this behavior. Our goal is never to leave our authors stuck in their development.
Thank you for your patience. I'm sorry if this has been slowing you down!
I typically work in Rise for about 4 hours a day, so I'm very familiar with average Rise response times. However, I have not worked in Rise for about 2 weeks. Today I spent the entire day editing in Rise, and found that editing is 40 - 50% slower than usual. Using the Block Library Menu, and inserting new blocks, is very slow. Good luck inserting a block from the block library.
I thought it may be a time of day issue, but came back much later to check, and local time is now 9:15 PM and it's no better. Sadly for me and some others it seems, the Rise slowness issue is certainly NOT resolved. Based in Western Canada if that helps.
Good reply thanks for your perspective. I work in RISE for my client about 8-10 hour per day at all times. I am based on the US West Coast but my clients are either in West Coast Eastern time zone or in Australia. RISE since they added AI (which I opted out of) is when it went really buggy including Storyline 360 of which I do not use AI either. I think it's the incorporation of data feeding OpenAI as their subprocessor, using it or not, is overloading the port feed or their servers. IMO.
Not sure if a fix is possible at this point.
Oh and be careful, I've also experienced on a regular basis, RISE reverting changes I've done when it is running very slow.

Hi PaulZamora,
I'm so sorry to hear you're experiencing these issues when authoring in Rise 360! I'd like to learn more about what you're experiencing!
- What browser are you using to author in Rise 360? Do you notice any difference in behavior if you use another supported browser?
- Does clearing your browser's cache, or using an incognito browser make any difference?
- You mentioned Rise 360 has been reverting changes as well. Do you notice this happening in a specific block type or just one?
As my colleague KellyAuner mentioned earlier in this thread, you'll want to make sure these network endpoints are enabled on your computer.
It would be helpful to take a closer look at your setup. Feel free to send us a screen recording of this behavior and a copy of a file you're working on. You can share this in this discussion or privately in a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

I use both the latest version of Chrome and Edge; makes no difference on issues, random change reversions or lag. I continually clear browser history and cache with Norton 360 Ultimate Utilities Tool which I run semi-daily to scrubs my clipboard, history, cache, temp files, unused hidden files etc. It regularly detects and deletes up to a gig of internet junk and temp files daily. It doesn't run in the background, which it could, but I manually run this a couple of times a day, usually at the start and end of my workday.
My random reversions so far have been limited to text at this point. I will change something, notice a lag in operation, then when I send things for review, I know I've changed, I get feedback on comments I have resolved and it's not a versional error.I actually saw one in progress, I changed text, scrolled, the screen flashed and the text I changed went back to its previous text.
One consistent common issue is adding a custom Block to the library, I have to exit, and go back into RISE for it to be available. All custom ones for a while get stuck in processing even after an hour or more. Exit/Relaunch does fix it though. BTW I also keep my A360 Storyline fully updated and I do not work in a corporate office.
I am a home-based consultant, so I manage my own equipment. None of my other cloud-bases services are affected (Adobe CC Suite, Vyond, RenderForest, WellSaid, Various LMSs like workday, CSOD, etc.)
Hope these details help.

Hi PaulZamora,
Thank you for sharing additional information with us! I have passed along your insight to our team.
Our team has made a couple of improvements, and we're checking to see if you are still experiencing this behavior at the start of the week. Do you notice any change?
If you are still encountering this, it would be helpful to see a screen recording of your experience.
We appreciate your feedback!
