Storyline 360: 360° Images Stuck Loading — Is Anyone Else Experiencing This?
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue with the 360° image feature in Storyline 360. I’m working on an escape room project that I previously edited without any problems, but the image now gets stuck loading and won’t let me edit it.
Here’s what I’ve checked so far:
- Created a new project: the same issue occurs.
- Tried different images: the issue persists.
- Confirmed that my software is fully updated.
- Checked with several colleagues: they’re experiencing the same problem.
The issue doesn’t appear to be related to the image or project file size. Since several of us are affected, I’m wondering whether this could be a bug.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Could you test the 360° image feature in an existing or new project to see if the same thing happens?
This is currently blocking my work, so I’d appreciate any confirmation, troubleshooting suggestions, or workarounds. Thank you!

You are not alone. At least three other people (including me) have reported the same problem.
You can work around it by reverting to an August build, but obviously that's not ideal, nor is it a permanent solution.

Adding a data point for the support case: multiple people hitting this on different images and file sizes, with the August build working, points at a regression in the current build rather than your project files. If you haven't already, file a support case with a minimal project containing one 360° image — the more reports tied to the same build, the faster it gets triaged. And if you revert to the August build as Carl suggested, test one 360° image first before committing a whole project to the older build.
Yes, I have been experiencing this since last week. Have not heard anything from Articulate.... I have to downgrade SL to August version to do my job.
