Does anyone else find Rise is slow these days?
Hi Everyone!
I’m happy to share that we just released a new update for Rise 360!
This update fixes the issue that was causing slowdowns while authoring course content. There’s nothing to install for web-based apps. New features and fixes are immediately available!
If you’re still experiencing slowdowns, first please ensure any browser plugins have been disabled. Also, when working with large scale courses, some slowdowns are expected. To remedy that, we suggest breaking larger courses down into smaller pieces.
If you have questions about this update, or the issue you reported, please connect with our team through a support case.
Thank you!
I am finding Rise to be glitchy and very slow, to the point where I am finding it hard to work on my larger modules. This has been since the AI addition. I regularly get the 'something went wrong' message and typing changes or new text into the large modules is painfully slow. I have to wait a fair few seconds for it to catch up with my typing speed. Also, when I delete text in the editing boxes using the backspace button, it crashes. I have also found a glitch in tabs when they are created by AI. See image. Is seriously impacting on my ability to work efficiently. Is there a limit to size of modules before performance slows right down?
Getting the same Hazel. I don't have AI on my version but been getting issues like you since AI was released.
- Typing taking time to catch up
- Divider button crashes when being edited (when you try to go back into your course it shows that you are still in the course so you have TO TAKE CONTROL to get back into it)
I reported it to Articulate Support and apparently, it's something on my side and was asked to look into my browser settings. Now, if you try to edit the divider button text, for each letter that you type the cursor jumps to the end of the line. So the best way to get the edit done is by deleting all of the text and starting again.

We subscribe to the AI tools. I've started getting the cursor jumping to the wrong place in accordions/tabs etc. It happened before when the AI tools weren't even available. I did log a ticket but they didn't resolve/believe there was anything wrong. I should have done a screen capture video.

Yes, exactly the same for me with all you say. It didn't always function like this.

I am having the exact same issues with Rise. It's been considerably worse the last two weeks. I see other people are having similar issues but unfortunately it doesn't seem like Articulate is considering this to be a problem. I do not use the AI tools. I hope this is resolved soon. This is really affecting my workload.

Positive update from me:
- Just tried to edit a Divider block and it's working great again!
- Typing speed is also back to normal so thank you Articulate!
