Drag-Items do not return to start point when dropped outside correct target
- 8 days ago
Thanks so much! I've explored a bit more with your project file and have come to the conclusion the problem is the draggable options. I'm unsure why, but the code for the draggable objects is very different in the inspector between the two slides.
On a hunch, I deleted one of the draggables from the first slide and made a new rectangle/option, hooked it up in the Form View, and can confirm that one returns to its origin after I release the mouse button. It seems the individual draggable objects are the culprits. I hope this works enough to keep you from creating a whole new project. Let me know if it works!
I'm having the same issue with a drag and drop interaction. The item does not go back to starting point when dropped outside of the correct target, even though that's how I set it up in the "Drag & Drop Options"
Hello Xiaoshuang_W! Thanks for letting us know you’re running into this!
This may be related to a bug we’re tracking. Are you seeing the drag object stay out of place after it’s dropped in the wrong spot, especially when a “show layer” trigger is also involved? If so, I’ll add your name to the bug report so we can track the impact.

Hi Lauren, thank you for responding. Yes, the drag object stays out of place after it's dropped in the wrong spot. I've attached the slide file here. If you could help find a fix for it, that would be great!
Many thanks!
