Editing Articulate 360 files in Storyline 3

Hi,

I have a few courses created in Articulate 360 but I only have access to Storyline 3 software. Can I edit these courses in Storyline 3?

Thank you,

Debbie

    Hey Debbie,

    Thank you for reaching out!

The short answer to your question is that you can edit courses Created in Storyline 360 in Storyline 3. The caveat here is, if there are new features that are in Storyline 360 that haven't made it to Storyline 3 yet, those SL 360 courses may not open in SL 3.

Depending on when your courses were created, you should be able to open/edit them in Storyline 3.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

  • I developed a course using 360, I am not trying to open it using Storyline 3 and I am unable to open it as there are features that Storyline 3 doesn't have available.  Is there anyway to down grade my file even if I lose some formatting.  Or will I need to re-develop the course?

  • Hi, Maria.

    Thank you for reaching out!

If you have Storyline 360's latest update (Build 3.54.25674.0), you can remove the text autofit improvements from your project:

    • Open a new project in Storyline 360 (Update 54).
    • Import the slides from your project that you want to open in Storyline 3.
    • Save the .story file.
    • It should now be compatible with Storyline 3.

Let me know if this works or if you have additional questions!

      Hello,

I used the trial version of 360 to develop a course, but the final decision was to get storyline 3. Due to some functionality issues, I can no longer open the full course I have developed. I'm wondering if there's a way to recover the course as I really don't want to restart from scratch.

      Thank you!

  • Hi, Xunhao, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨

I'm happy to help! Are you comfortable sharing the .story file privately through a case so we can check what might be stopping the file from opening in Storyline 3?
