Email Reminders for "Due date approaching"

Hi there,

In Reach 360, Manage > Settings > Learner Notifications, you can set Email reminders for when the due date is approaching. If I change these settings as a Manager, will they apply to all courses or just to the ones I have published?

For example: I might want a reminder of 2 days, but my colleague might want a 30 day reminder for their regulatory course that can't expire.

Also, if I "Edit content" for one of these emails, will it change the settings for everyone using Reach?

Thank you

  • Hi Laura_MacDonald!

Happy to help! Allow me to answer your questions individually.

    E-mail Reminders:

If a Reach 360 Manager adjusts the timing or frequency of reminder e-mails, that change is global and gets applied to all courses. Not just the ones you've personally published. This behavior is part of Reach 360's current design. All notification and e-mail template settings are managed centrally for consistency across your organization's learning environment.

Currently, there is no option to configure these on a per-course or per-manager basis. However, I understand having more flexibility around these settings could improve your Reach 360 experience. I've submitted this as a feature request on your behalf!

    Editing E-mail Content:

If you click "Edit content" for one of the learner notification templates, you are editing the shared e-mail template for that notification type (e.g. "Course due soon" or "Completion confirmation"). Any changes you make will apply to all users and all courses in your organization's Reach 360 instance. Currently, there is no way for different Managers to maintain separate versions of these email templates. I'm happy to submit this as a feature request as well!

If different teams within your organization require unique reminder behaviors (e.g., 2 days vs. 30 days before due date), the best workaround is to manually include due-date details or reminder notes within the course description or enrollment instructions. Rather than relying on system-generated reminders.

Please let me know if you need anything else!
