Events / callbacks on published to web content

Hi, very new to Articulate; I am the lead developer for a training company that has built a proprietary web based e-learning system for their courses.

They now wish to integrate course content from a 3rd party, who use Storyline 360. The 3rd party has provided me with the published-to-web version which all works fine on our server; however the e-learning system it hooks into needs to be able to detect progress events (just simple "next slide" clicks for now) / and  critically, completion events so it can mark the learner record completed and update the DB.

I can't find any documentation for any hooks / API that would allow this - can anyone direct me to how to get started on this?
