Exit Animation While Moving Across Path Bug?

I'm having an issue with moving an object across a path and using entrance/exit animations during the movement.

Ok, so I was able to find a workaround.. or at least a "method" for doing this, based on feedback from a similar post: entrance and exit animations and motion paths - Articulate Storyline Discussions - E-Learning Heroes
I created a group with 2 objects and then set the in/out fade animations on the individual objects. Then I applied the motion path to the group level. Worked like a charm.
I still feel like this might be a bug with the original way I did it, however.
