Format painter does not copy shape?
I made a rounded button, but when I use the format painter to recreate the look of the button (color, shape, states) it does not copy the shape.
Correct! The format button will not change the actual shape, just the formatting. This allows you to take formatting options from a square, for example - and paint those to an oval.
