Full screen video content
Hi everyone,
I was wondering about having the option/capability to watch a video on full screen.
For example: place a video file into the presentation, and while watching it, have the option to play at full screen.
Is this an function to switch on prior to publishing, or is this something related to the actual video file itself? On a previous platform, the user was able to play the same video files in full screen.
Thanks

Hi, Looks like this feature request was originally submitted 3 years ago so I wanted to see if there had been any updates made. This feature is the the top requested from my students and teachers.

It does seem ludicrus that 3 years on they still havn't done this as a nice an easy option within storyline - it's pretty much the only feature request that I have wanted.
It would even be nice for someone to say why they havn't done it yet, or what the problems are that they can't overcome. #frustrated
Hi All,
It's been a while since we shared an update in this discussion, so I'd love to check-in.
First, thank you for sharing your experiences. We're committed to making Articulate 360 the best possible product for everyone — here's what we're working on right now:
A fullscreen toggle feature isn't in our immediate roadmap, but we are continuing to carefully review each request, comment, and reply.
Given the latest conversation, we will revisit its value and impact. That's one of many steps in our process, but I hope it reaffirms that we're listening.
If there's anything else we can do, we're happy to help!

Hi everyone,
I am making Videos for technical drawing and a full screen mode is something that I am definetly missing. This problem is solved when opening the videos in a new browser windows, but then they will get public for download.
Best regards!

We don't use Storyline at all for video for this reason. It's a shame, really - to have to separate video content from Storyline content, else mosey back to Craptivate.... The option to size a video to full-screen should be a given.

Chiming in here. A simple full-screen button on the video player would be so, so, so helpful. I hope this is prioritized. Thanks!

Nora - it's actually a glaring omission in this day and age. It's the only feature I would like - if they just did one feature this year - please do this! This thread is now four years old and since I last posted two years ago my beard has turned grey...I just wish articulate could be honest and say why they haven't done it. We are actually going to be looking for alternative elearning creation software because of this :(

Two years ago, I posted on this thread, and someone from the support said something like they will analyze. At that time, the thread was two years. Two years go by, and they did nothing. As a result, I had to give up using this amazing tool because they can't find a solution for a relatively simple problem in four years.

+1 from me, would be really helpful to have a full screen option.

Really feel like this is something which has been, gone and will now never happen. It's 2021 and we can't have a full screen button on a video player?

Agreed - add my vote for adding this to the roadmap - feature long overdue in many of your applications - full screen video capability please. Asking us to take media we own and put it into another content management system like YouTube or Vimeo simply is not respecting that many times the content of these courses is highly proprietary and we all know that security is very much a sliding scale of tolerance these days when you let other vehicles manage your content for you. Four years overdue, but it won't make the roadmap unless we continue to push and persist in the insistence for inclusion of a technology that is now probably standard fare pretty much everywhere.
Full screen view capability for embedded video in Storyline please!
