General Questions
Hi,
Wondering if anyone can help me with some general questions, fairly new to the system but under a tight deadline to complete a course.
- Is there a way to prevent the user from progressing until all the contents have loaded up on the screen?
- Can I change the background colour of the course? I want to change the black background to white to fit with the branding of the company. (you can see the background that I'm talking about on the preview section)
- Is there a way to add a consistent progress bar at the bottom of the page?
Is there a contact email to arrange a call with someone from Articulate, or even just to get them to email me with some answers?
Thanks,
Ellie

Hello ehawkins,
Happy to help! Allow me to address your questions individually.
- You can restrict the navigation of your course to prevent your learners from progressing to the next slide without first viewing it in its entirety. One suggestion is to add a custom navigation button to your slides and set it to enter last in the timeline. This means your viewers can only move to the next slide after everything in the slide has loaded/been viewed.
- Yes, you can set the background color for your entire course using the Slide Master feature.
- The following community threads discuss ways to add a functioning progress bar to a Storyline 360 course.
- Progress bar in Articulate Storyline: Easy solution, using only one built-in variable
- Add a progress bar to the Storyline Player.

Hey JoseTansengco
This is very helpful - thanks!
For the second question, I'm referring to the background that the course is on top of, I've attached an image for reference. I am trying to change the colour from black to white.
If you could confirm if this would still be in the slide master feature and how to change it, that would be great.
Thanks!
