When I'm creating a screen recording, and there is typing involved, the automatic text box/caption reads something like this: Type: " dog" There is always an extra space after the first quotation mark. Why? How to fix for good?

Sorry to hear that you ran into this issue.
I can confirm that I was able to replicate the behavior on my end. I checked and this is a known issue that we are currently tracking where screen recording captions have an extra space added to them. The current workaround is to manually remove the extra space, which I understand might not be feasible when working with plenty of slides.
