Getting 360 Content Library characters in Rise
Hi,
Is it possible to use characters from the Content Library in a Rise course or do I need to use SL360?
Thanks!

I've found the Content Library images in Rise but not the characters. I tried searching for characters, and using a character's name, but no luck. Were the characters included when the Content Library was made accessible in Rise?

Are there plans to include Characters in Rise? Previous threads indicated it was coming but only see the photos and illustrations part of Content Library in Rise currently.
Icons and Characters are still on the radar, but I do not have a timeline to provide Michele.

A possible solution for those who need characters in Rise is to resize them to a large size within SL360 and then right click on the character and save the file as a TIF (PNG, for some reason includes artifacts). Initially I questioned the need for characters in Rise, but then got a little creative and realized they make perfect sense within certain contexts. My hope is these will be much easier to insert in the near future.
Thanks, Jose for sharing that here.
I'd love to see some more examples of the context and how you're using the characters in Rise!
Hi Leia,
As I shared above, it is a feature that is still on our radar, but we do not have a timeline to provide at this time.

Those "avatars" are images you have to upload into Rise. You can get them from SL360 by selecting the character and exporting them out. Once you have your character image you'll have to crop them using Photoshop or some other editor so you get a tight head shot. Then you can upload your avatar to Rise.

Ahhh - ok I understand. Thanks Jose... a bit more work than I was hoping for (...:-)) but feasible nonetheless.
Maybe the content library will someday include circular versions of the SL360 characters for popping into blocks.
Cheers,
Hi Jennifer,
I'm glad Jose was able to help here.
It sounds like having circular versions of Storyline 360 characters in Rise would improve your authoring experience. Would you be open to logging a feature request?

Hi all, this is an old post and I see characters are still not integrated into Rise. I thought this was on the radar a while back seems like the can keeps getting pushed down the road. I will use the workaround by exporting image poses from SL and importing them.
Be great if this was implemented as a Christmas present to all Articulate users.
