Google Analytics at Page Level in Rise
Hi Guys
One of the benefits of using Rise is that we have been able to host training outside the LMS and embed links within products. This allows us to embed those links with software products and people are able to consume training easily.
However tracking goes for a toss since Google Analytics only works at an index.html level for now.
Is there a way we can see how much time is being spent on what topic in rise?
Warm Regards
Akshay

I know I'm picking up several years later, but we've been using this as our Benefit Program course for employees and it's worked quite well as we publish to the web so it can be viewed from anywhere. Our head of HR asked if there's a way to see how many people have been using it and when. Has anything been developed since this thread first started?

Hello everyone,
I am digging this topic out.
I am wondering if some of you suceeded in tracking event on Rise module exported as Webpage with Google Analytics ? I've read all of your messages et it doesn't seem so clear.
Is it possible to track event like a click on a "Start quizz" button with GA?
Thanks in advance for your support,
Have a great day,
Minh-Tu

Hi folks, has anyone that uses SuccessFactors LMS (Learning) been able to:
- unzip the zip scorm file
- edit the css/html file (for example adding the GA code)
- rezip
- successfully load into successfactors
So far, if I try to modify anything in zip file, SuccessFactors does not accept it. Other LMS' do (including scormcloud). I cannot test out adding GA code, let alone edit the css or html.
I find this SuccessFactors LMS immensely frustrating, old, daggy and frankly, fugly...

For SuccessFactors LMS users - I think its doubtful that SuccessFactors LMS integration with GA code is achievable because the course url links (required for GA tracking) is dynamically built when opened by a user. There's no course url per se.
Would be most grateful if someone could prove me wrong!- KarlMullerCommunity Member
We don't use SuccessFactors, but our LMS works in exactly the same way.
As the LMS generates course URL's dynamically, we get zero GA data for our Rise courses.
We only get data related to how students used the LMS, which is not what we want.
What we do find very useful is secondary GA data, such as Audience demographics, devices (computer, tablet. mobile), browsers used, operating Systems, device screen resolution, etc.
There is a lot of GA secondary data that is extremely useful.

so has there been any updates to this feed since last post 2 years ago? Would love to see an easy video tutorial on how to incorporate Google Analytics into my web based Rise URL. Any/all help is much appreciated!

Thanks for sharing your interest, Stephanie! We'll make sure to update you here if this becomes available in the future.

Hi Hazel,
Is there any update on this? I know it can be done via Storyline but as a new user this is not an easy process and researching has not really done anything for me, but make me have more questions than before. It would be nice to have built in analytics with the tool we are authoring in (Rise).
Thanks!

Hello,
Has anybody found a way to track clicks/visits on a Rise link? (not exported in an LMS)
I just reached out to the support group who sent me back here. Would love to know if this is possible without LMS publication in any way.
Thank you!

I would like to bump this question as well. We are trying to get some simple analytics for the Rise 360 page no in an LMS.

Hi Christina,
If you are using a Rise course outside of a LMS, you should be able to setup your own Google Analytics tracking per course. You need a Gmail account and would need the URL for each Rise course to setup at analytics.google.com
Note that Google Analytics may not track at the level you require, e.g. learner Quiz data, etc.

Hi there! I'm also looking for an easy way to implement this. Hope you're on the case soon, Articulate.
- ChristineDelMurCommunity Member
Yes, we need this feature as well... we need to be able to track external usage / quizzes without an LMS.

A vote from me for Articulate to prioritize this! Seems possible in Storyline, but would love to see this in Rise.

This issue has been in discussion for two years. Any updates on adding modern web tracking to Rise? Ideally we would like to add technologies like Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, HotJar and etc.
Hi there, Joshua. We're still documenting requests for this enhancement, but we don't have an update on our plans for it at this time. We'll let you know here if that changes!
