Graded Quiz: Fill In The Blank
Is it possible to have more than one fill-in-the-blank question on each slide?

That error message is what indicated the user didn't select or chose any answers yet - so if you think you've selected an answer and you're still seeing that it sounds like something we'd want to take a look at your .story file to see how it's set up and behaving.
