Gradient Stops Issue

I am using a simple two colour gradient. Every time I set the Stop2 colour  it automatically jumps to the Stop1 setting and fills it with the colour chosen. It's weird but I cannot fill the second stop colour at all.

Attached a video showing it in action. As soon as leaving the entry box to enter the hex code it instantly moves back to Stop1 position.

I need to have a Photoshop step to my workflow to create a simple gradient shape which is time consuming.
