Help - Storyline has frozen!
I have been working on Storyline for most of the day and I have not saved it for a few hours. I was working on changing some states when it froze. I have closed other running programmes on my computer but it has not helped. Have I lost my work?

Hi Jonas,
That's right, and I'm so glad it helped! As of Storyline 360 Update 29, Storyline has an Auto-Recovery feature that allows you to recover a corrupt project. You can choose the default interval in the General Options. Take a look at the user guide below:

A year later...I had Storyline freeze and I forced it to close. When I clicked on the file name in my Documents folder, it opened the generic Storyline program landing page - no recovery option. Now, I cannot even find the file I was working on in my Documents folder. I do have a "Title - Storyline Output folder" but don't know if there is anything I can recover from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, Dana.
I'm sorry to hear you can no longer open your project after closing Storyline!
You can check if it's still available in the TEMP folder. Here are the steps:
- Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
- Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of the project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop.
- Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
- Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.
I hope this helps!
