Help, triggers and layers
Hello,
Please help I'm going crazy, this is day 2 of working with storyline. I'm following the video to set up layers and triggers.
I have 5 objects on my screen and 5 layers. I have followed the instructions to set up the triggers but when I preview the slide only the first object that I click on reveals the correct layer. The rest do nothing when I click on them.
I thought it might be something to do with the states that I've applied eg hover, visited etc but I'm lost is there something I'm missing in my set up? I think I've followed the instructions word for word.

You have 5 objects and 5 layers, each time you click on an object -> a layer pop-up, is that correct ?
Right click on the layer -> Properties -> And makes sure that the box "Prevent the user from clicking on the others layers" is Unchecked.
I made the screenshot, sorry i'm using French version so my capture is in French.

Don't worry, everybody start as beginner.
I see the problem here, you have 5 objects in the base layer AND you also have those objects in the layers too. Your objects in the layers doesn't have any trigger linked to it. That's why it's not working.
You only need the objects in the base layer with theirs triggers, that's all.
There is the file that deleted your objects in the layers, please let me know if you have furthers questions.Oh my goodness thank you so much.
In the Storyline getting set up video it advises you to duplicate each layer which is where I've gone wrong. How you have edited it makes it seem much easier.
