HeroLand- an adventure built within Storyline (and only storyline)
Hi all,
It's been an amazing year and with the latest developments from Articulate it's going to be another great one, however I wanted to show you all what can actually be done with Storyline 2 just by itself. This is more of an experiment, but to be honest would (still might) be my entry if there is a Guru challenge this year. But as things might be changing soon, I thought I'd give one last shoutout to one of the best design tools out there.
So here's the link - enjoy!
Sincerely, Rick

I got all the way to the end. Well Done!! Great job! Kudos!! I agree with Anthony that this had to take hours to create. Thank you for sharing, I was mesmerized.

So this was absolutely amazing, and since I'm not a gamer, was very challenging and I learned a lot.
Did anyone notice the little musical note at the very beginning, on the far left side? Richard used it for music attributes...way cool!

Hey, everyone, in the episode 4 of The eLearning Guys podcast we were lucky to have Richard Hill join us to talk about the development of Heroland.

Quite engaging!
As someone who is also into building gamified eLearning, I would love to swap Storyline techniques with you sometime. https://www.linkedin.com/in/johnmeisburg - DavidMatsonCommunity Member
Outstanding work!
I have a question I hope someone can answer, as I'm not too familiar with Storyline 2. In HeroLand, there are a few instances where the main character approaches an object, and an action is triggered (audio plays, animation begins, etc.) How is the action triggered? Is there built-in functionality where if an object enters the boundary of another object, it can trigger an action? I don't need specifics, but a high-level explanation would be helpful. In another e-learning authoring tool I use, this can't be accomplished without Javascript or widgets. Thanks!
