I’m excited to share that we’ve officially posted an eLearning Developer position on my team at the Virginia Department of Corrections (Academy for Staff Development) in Richmond, VA.

This is a role I know well—it’s the position I held before stepping into my current role leading the team—and it’s a critical one for where we’re headed.

We’re looking for a high-performing instructional designer who:

Thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in their craft.

Communicates exceptionally well with SMEs and stakeholders.

Has deep expertise in Articulate Storyline 360 and modern eLearning design.

Is highly skilled in Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint and automation tools (Power Automate, etc.).

Is actively using AI tools (Microsoft Copilot) and excited to help shape how AI is used across a state agency.

This role develops impactful eLearning, delivers Microsoft 365 training, and plays a key part in advancing how we integrate AI into learning and operations.

This is not a remote position; you must be physically local to interview. There will be a second interview in person, scheduled for a different date if successful in the first round. Travel is not provided, and relocation assistance is not available. Position is ideally suited for someone already in the Richmond, VA area.
