How about an Escape Room game built in Storyline? Want to play for free?

Hello, Everyone,

we built a nice-looking Escape Room game in Articulate Storyline and thought it would be cool to get your opinion about it?

Full disclosure: child labor was used to make it, meaning Karlis (founder of FasterCourse) kids participated in the testing of the game, it is pretty fun though :)

Play here: https://demo.fastercourse.com/storyline/FasterCourse_Escape_Room/story.html

Game plot: Solve 4 riddles to open a door, solve 5th riddle and set yourself free.

Have a fantastic week everyone, I hope you solve all your professional and personal riddles this week!

Karlis

This is such a cool game! I wonder how did you create the map and tiles for the three puzzles?

Hello Souveek, our graphic designer is pretty cool. It was two people working on this to be honest :). Designer and developer.

  • Love this! I must be doing something wrong on the map, though. I've tried a few times and come up with the same combination each time, but nothing happens.

        Hi Karlis,

This is fantastic! well done. I could do with a hint on the map, as I'm stuck there. I've got the other puzzles (torches, numbers & arrows) but every time I do the map I get a different answer!

        Thanks,

  • Very nice graphics.
It must have taken quite a lot of repetitive scripting to get the 8 variations of "correct" in the magic square puzzle :

The torch puzzle, somehow I got it right randomly in a few moves.
The map instructions left me wondering. I thought I had to input each step and expected to see progress of some sort. I finally tried figuring the final solutions for both paths and inputting them into the lock successfully.

Hello Dustin, nothing really except design programmes to create the visual design of the game.

  • Wow! 😮 This is incredible, Karlis! 👏 The graphics and puzzles are so well designed. I usually get confused and lost in escape rooms (virtual and in-person 😂) but this one is easy to follow. Nicely done!
