How do I play four 9:16 videos separately on one Storyline timeline?
I have four 9:16 images on a Storyline timeline.
Each image has its own play button that will play a 9:16 video later on in the timeline.
I do NOT want the Storyline timeline to play UNTIL each play button is clicked.
After each play button is clicked, it goes to a cue point to play the separate video in the timeline, then automatically returns to the beginning of the timeline.
How would I go about doing this?

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding. You could use a "Pause timeline" trigger, and the buttons start it, and then there's a "Pause timeline" at a cue point?
I could not find the "Pause timeline" trigger yet.
I got most of it to work, except for the "pause trigger."

Then you set it to activate when the timeline reaches a cue point.
The layering solution might be more elegant and would work, but so does this.
It might be worth mentioning, as a user interface designer in my past career, a "More" category is an admission that you don't know how to organize your list. Surely a "Timeline" or even better, "Flow control" category would be more intuitive?
This sounds like an ideal situation for layers.
One base slide layer with the four thumbnails, and clicking a thumbnail shows the layer with the corresponding video. When that video ends, the layer can automatically hide itself, returning the learner to the base slide layer to choose another video. Cue points are finicky and prone to change.
I thought about using layers. Most of the time, my employer seeks to lock the course, and layers cause problems. But in this case, I don't think they are locking the course. I still would want to use cue points,
