How do you store your assests internally?
Hi,
Obviously creating eLearning tends to mean our teams have a lot of different assets to keep track of:
Videos, Audio Recordings, Images, storyboard...I could go on!
We're looking at better ways of storing our eLearning assets, and I was interested to learn what other teams are doing?
In previous companies I have used a mixture of Google Drive, Microsoft 365 and video storage tools like Brightcove.
Ideally I would like to be able to see at a glance when the item was created, what topics it relates to, what modules/courses it is in and when it will be due a refresh.
What do you use?
What are your must haves when looking for storage solutions?

Its not about storage...its about DAM. Digital Asset Management. Lots of tools to choose from...to name a few...
Extensis Portfolio, Cloudinary, Canto and many many more. The newest most professional DAM providers have options like AI-generation and automation of customized localized assets. In fact they can create websites, marketing campaigns, ads, videos and more in local languages with the click of a mouse.
For elearning this can work too. If the tool at hand is open enough. Articulate tools are not open enough. Else the combo would be great... now you still need to import and exchange elements. For sure this kind of open approach on formats is the future. I do think Articulate should open up both Storyline and Rise so that these kind of external tools can ( with a plugin...or directly ) update projects and/or create local versions.
