How to animate the size of an object

I want to enlarge a picture from it's original size of 500 pixels to let's say 1000 pixels in a controlled manner.

Very easy to do in Camtasia and all other authoring and video editing software.

In Storyline the size of the object is not in animation painter or anything, all we get are entrance and exit with very little control over how and where everything happens.

This has to be somewhere but I can't find it.

Although I'm a dev, none of my colleagues are.

Since interactivity was not critical to the project we're switching over to Camtasia.

Being able to emphasize small items by zooming them in and moving them around is going to be very important. Video editing and animation functionalities in Articulate aren't going to cut it (they never really have tbh).

  • I would recommend the grow emphasis animation or do this with state changes.

So there is no built-in function to animate and control the size of objects.

Thanks but this won't be good enough, I'll do it in Camtasia instead.

  • You could go the JavaScript route, and control the object's animations with GreenSock. Jeff Batt (LearningDojo) has several great tutorials on YouTube that can walk you through it step by step. It's not exactly time efficient, but it really opens up what kinds of animations you can accomplish.
