How to Create a Round Button from Insert>Button
I've seen workarounds posted here, but how is this person doing it? The round button seems to be a Storyline function. My only options are rectangular or barrel shapes.
Thanks.

you can use around shape and make the states, format paint them off a button, or use an audio only marker

Yes, thank you. I'm interested in how the person in the video seems to do it automatically.

Aaron;
I had never done this before but i tried what he did. Just drag the barrel one into a circle. It worked fine.

hold down the shift button and drag slowly

Great tip Phil. I just played with putting a slightly larger colored circle behind the button as well and you get a great effect.

The Shift+drag option works well as long as the button stays small. When you enlarge it (either by dragging or by changing the dimensions manually) the top and bottom "straighten" out and you wind up with a barrel shape. I wouldn't recommend it for larger buttons.

Hi guys - just re-reading this old post, I want to create a round button using Insert > Button. (I can't use my own image because it must be a button).
But I cannot seem to get the Icon to centre in the shape once I have dragged the barrel shape down to a circle. See image below:

Just create a circle, then add a button without fill, then group the 2, maybe that will work.

Thanks for the reply Ryan, unfortunately grouping doesn't help, because if you set an object within a group as Disabled, and then hover over any item in the group, the Disabled state is overridden and the item will change state.
Hi Ant! This looks like what you posted and shared here as well. Hopefully someone in the community will have another suggestion for you in the meantime to get you by. Again, I appreciate your continuing to share your findings. I just hoped it would be more positive news.
