How to highlight text in a list with audio

Hi,

I have a 5 text boxes (a list of items) that I want each one to highlight (change the color of the text) when the audio part says what's in the list - I thought I could use states and make one state change to color, but the text box only has hidden and normal as states... Is there a way to highlight the list as the audio plays? Thanks so much!

Hi, so in all of those years of people asking for a feature to highlight text in sync with audio, articulate was not able to present a solution for this except telling people to use some hacky workarounds? This is something I would expect from open source software but not from a provider of paid software. IMHO

I would love to have a feature like that, because animating everything in only one second before it was said in the voice over, will discriminate visual learners that need the big picture.

  • Hi everyone,

Is there any feature in Rise 360 to highlight a text in paragraph in synchronous with the video playing. Whatever the narrator speaks in video that text have to be get highlight in paragraph.

    Please give your valuable solutions.

      Hello Yogesh!

We don't currently have this feature in Rise 360, where text is highlighted while a video is playing. I encourage you to submit a feature request so our team can begin tracking this request. In the meantime, as a workaround, you might consider a similar interaction in Storyline 360.

I hope other community members will share if they've created something similar in their projects!

  • If they don't have this feature yet, I did a very simple workaround. I simply overlaid text boxes (make sure the X and Y are exactly the same), highlighted specific words, and set the animations to wipe. After that I simply synced the animation text to the audio. Hope this help someone.

  • Hi Ramona,

Thanks so much for sharing this workaround! I'm sure others in the E-Learning Heroes community will find this useful!
