How to remove Restart and Resume buttons
Hi Impact group,
Great question! If you choose "Prompt to resume" they'll be presented with an option to resume or restart. If you only want learners to resume where they left off choose the option to "Always resume" and they'll no longer see a Restart option!
Hope that helps!

Hi Ashley, I have my settings set to always resume (resume saved state) but I'm still being presented with the option to restart... Is there something else I can do?

Hi There,
Thank you for reaching out!
With player settings set to Always Resume, the restart course prompt shouldn't be appearing. The Resume Saved State setting is a little bit different as that is a Slide Property that lets you determine how objects on a slide behave when learners revisit the same slide later.
Something we could look into to pinpoint what might be going on is to check the Player Properties for the course. You can review the Player Property settings by:
- From the Home tab in Storyline, click on the Player tab.
- When the Player Properties window appears, click Other on the ribbon.
- In the Resume section of the window, check to see which resume option is currently set.
Please let us know if you have any questions! We are happy to help!

Hi! Did you ever get an answer or resolution to this issue. I've come across the same thing. I've built 9 courses, all with the same settings. The Resume in all courses is set to Always Resume. When tested in the SCORM Cloud, the course works as expected; however, when loaded into the LMS, the learner gets a black window with the "resume" button which takes the learner to the last slide they were on and they also get the "Restart" button, which allows them to restart. How did you get rid of the Restart?

If a project is set to Always Resume, then a prompt won't appear. The last visited slide will be on display when revisiting. If a project is set to Never Resume, a prompt won't appear either. The first slide of the course will be on display when revisiting. Lastly, Prompt to Resume will ask the learner if they want to revisit the course from the beginning or where they left off. We don't currently have an option where just the Resume button appears.
I found this discussion that shares a workaround on how to customize the Prompt to Resume screen. You can take a look here.
