How to use macrons ( ā ē ī ō ū) in Rise courses?
Hi,
I am designing courses for an institute in New Zealand. Often, I need to include words rooted in the Māori language which should have macrons ( ā ē ī ō ū). I tried to copy some text with macrons to my course using Merriweather font, but macrons were not copied.
Can someone advise how to solve this issue?
Many thanks.

Hi Uzma,
I just copied ā ē ī ō ū from your post into a Rise course using the Merriweather font, and the macrons copied over correctly.
Are you copying your course content from MS Word?

Hi Karl,
Thanks for your reply. I copy content from the web and Word/Pdf documents. In my last course, I copied a piece of text to Rise and could not copy macrons. I cannot recall whether that particular text was copied from a Word or Pdf.
I will try again in the new course and see if it works.
Thanks

Oh I should add....it's not a perfect display of the macrons but it is better than the default....and different browsers display the macrons slightly better than others.
