Iframe issue in Rise

There are actually two issues in the original problem discussed three years ago here:

  1. The iframe src URL is malformed (duplicated https://view and .genial.ly). (as AngeloCruz pointed out!) Even outside Rise, that embed wouldn’t work. 
  2. But even with a corrected URL, Rise embeds are sandboxed and you can’t control iframe attributes. Some Genially content won’t display correctly in Rise due to iframe and cross-domain restrictions.

Workarounds:

  • Use a direct link button instead of embedding
  • Publish the Genially as a video and embed the video
  • Host the content externally and open it in a new tab

dr_wjg​ Unfortunately, Rise doesn’t support unrestricted iframe embeds.
