What are the solutions you're thinking of to replace it ? (I haven't really use other id softares other than the Articulate one's, so I'm a bit curious about the alternatives)
There's always captivate! But I haven't done any real research yet. We'll be expanding our team in the coming months, so it will be a good opportunity to get some new skills and maybe some fresh ideas about what's out there.

You're in luck. Over the years I have been keeping a running list:
- 7taps
- Capitvate
- Elucidat
- EvolveLearning
- Genially
- Gomo
- Knowbly
- Rise
- Uptale
As an edit and note: I am heavily looking at Genially and looking to move my team more towards cloud-based development platforms (for obvious reasons). I looked at Gomo and was very impressed. If you use Docebo as an LMS, I believe Elucidat has a direct LTI with them so there is easy sync and launch of content. We are trying to move away from the Storyline/Captivate model, look and feel. The development timeline for those products is WAY too long.

You beat me to it! Yes, these are some of the possibles on our list as well. We are just starting deep exploration, so I don't have any specifics yet, but boy! some of the prospects look good.

For my team, my main goal is: how can I make engaging content in the shortest amount of time. We have Articulate but under no circumstances are we to use Storyline. We use Rise 100% of the time. With a lot of the shortcomings, this is forced us to not only evaluate our training, but our development process and how our learners are even accessing our content. We have courses that were built one way but we are re-thinking the reasoning behind that, using the data from our LMS and feedback from our learners to identify better solutions. Sure 7taps seems a little too straightforward but it forced us to use it in a way that makes sense now and our learners really love. I am almost at the point where I am thinking maybe I don't need an authoring tool at all and just a tool kit of different products (Iorad, ThingLink, Genially, Vimeo, and Descript), mesh them together and create really great, engaging courses our learners like to interact with and build assessment right in our LMS when needed

We're going the way of Elucidat. And potentially LearnUpon as LMS

We just moved to 360Learning. It has been a game changer for us. Some of their built in course development functions and integrations with service providers made it a really good decision for us.

thanks for the list! There's one or two I hadn't seen yet. We are using Cornerstone, which has been a challenge in terms of cross linking to vendor cloud based content and reporting. But it seems like more and more platforms are solving this problem.
