Was this ever corrected, or do we have to keep manually zipping files?
Is the other way just to upload the scrom versus a zip package into Moodle?

You'll want to publish your course for LMS and upload your content. The steps for this are different for each LMS/LRS, so you can contact your LMS administrator if you need help. If you're experiencing a similar issue as Andrea, is this happening with one specific course or multiple courses? If you can provide a screen recording, that'd be helpful as well!
This was solved by manual zipping at the time. Have not tried recently.
