Inserted mp4 video pauses when clicked
I inserted several video files into my course. When I preview a slide with a video, clicking on the section of the slide containing the video causes the video to pause. Clicking again causes the video to resume. I found that behavior when I accidentally clicked on the video.
Is this normal behavior? I don't see any way to prevent that from happening. I included the layer seekbar to control the video.
Thanks!

Hi there, I don't know who may need this, but this is what I do to solve the issue.
- Select the video
- Click on Options
- Change the Play video options from "Automatically" to "When Triggered".
- Set a trigger similar to " Play Media [Video_Name] when Timeline [Starts] on [This slide].
That does the trick all the time. - AlexBradley-13fCommunity Member
This is very helpful @Luis Espinoza thank you!
Works for me too!
Now removing all my transparent shapes from my course! :)

HI, I am having the video stopping when clicked issue on slide 1.4. I tried putting a shape that I put at 100% transparency as suggested in the comments, but that didn't work. I saw another suggestion to go to options when video is selected but I couldn't see options as an option.
Could anyone help? I want them to click on a certain spot (the card in his hand) towards the end of the clip, but if you click outside the spot the video restarts. Can anyone help?
Hi Rachel!
Sorry to hear you've also hit a snag with a video restarting when a learner clicks outside of a hotspot. I'd be happy to help with that!
Following the workaround steps Luis shared resolves this issue. After selecting the video file from the timeline, I navigated to the top ribbon where the 'Video Tools/Options' tab appears. After clicking that, I was able to set the 'Play Video' option to 'When triggered'. I then built a new trigger to play media when the timeline starts on this slide.
Also, I've attached a revised copy of your file for your reference. Please let me know if you have any more questions!
