Instant Convert vs Content
It still lacks a feature to stop it from altering the content, which makes it useless in most cases. Please fix this.
Hi BorgCube,
Thanks for chiming in and sharing your voice! I understand that Instant Convert still changes your content when you switch block types, and you’d like a way to convert while keeping it exactly as is, like Luck and Karl described.
To help us understand your experience:
- What do you do today when you need to change a block type and keep your content as is?
- What impact does it have on your work when the converted content comes back changed?
We can’t promise a specific outcome, but your details help us understand what you’re working with.

Hi Luciana,
Thanks for following up. Please make sure this feedback reaches the product and dev team.
Regarding your first question: Right now, our only workaround is setting up blocks entirely manually—just as we did before these AI features were introduced. This adds significant manual overhead compared to what should be a one-click conversion.
Regarding your second question: We frequently test different block types to find the best layout and pedagogical fit. However, when working with complex technical subject matter, the copy must stay exactly as scripted. Our scripts are meticulously reviewed and finalized with our SMEs before production begins. Having the AI alter, paraphrase, or rewrite our verified text simply does not work in a professional production workflow. I suspect most teams with strict compliance and instructional design standards face this exact bottleneck.
For an industry leader like Articulate, decoupling content restructuring from AI copy generation should really be the standard.
The block conversion feature would be a massive time-saver if it focused purely on restructuring the content rather than rewriting it. As it stands, rewriting the source copy makes the feature counterproductive for us.
Please consider adding a simple toggle to disable content alterations during block conversion—allowing us to convert the block layout while preserving the raw text 1:1.

What BorgCube describes above is exactly the problems we experience when using Instant Convert.
When changing the block type, the content must stay exactly as originally scripted.
